Easy Way to remove chemicals from raw food

Though it’s always advisable to purchase organically grown food, there are time when we can’t help ourselves. Non-availability of organic variant of a particular food item or lack of an organic store in the locality or an emergency purchase are some of the reasons when we are forced to eat non-organic food.

The problem aggravates when we are talking about food items that need to be eaten raw. Think about all those fresh fruits, salads and raw vegetables; and, now think about the amount of pesticides and chemical stuck to the surface of the food item.

Though, there are medical products available for cleaning these fruits and vegetables, we are sure that you would not be very excited by the idea of using one chemical to remove another. Hence, we are offering you a very easy and quick solution to clean your fruits and vegetables.

Washing Fruits and Vegetables with Vinegar

  1. Take an empty bowl which will be used to clean the fruits and vegetables
  2. Fill with bowl with water and around one-fourth to half a cup of white vinegar (depending on the amount of produce being washed)
  3. Soak for around 10 minutes
  4. Take out the products and rinse them properly before using or storing them

That’s it. All you need is a commonly available white vinegar to get rid of all those pesticides.
